About Apex
Rigid inflatable boats, hand-built since the 1980s
Founded in the early 80s by boat builder and navigator Roger Dherlin, Apex exists for one reason: to build the right boat for the people who depend on it every day.
Roger Dherlin founds the Apex line of boats together with a shipyard for repair and support, drawing on years of navigation and shipbuilding — and on the needs of the users he met every day.

To meet growing demand while controlling costs, production moves to Costa Rica, with an educated, motivated and reliable workforce.

After six months of weather research, the plant is set in the Central Valley — recognised as one of the best climates in the world. Working below 75% humidity is essential for a perfect Hypalon bond.

From tenders to 36 ft professional RIBs, Apex boats serve yachts, dive centres, taxi-boat operators, institutions and adventurers through a global dealer network.

Design
No cheap stern cones: a shorter overall length, more usable interior space and easier davit storage.
A tough rubber strake runs all the way around to protect the tubes and the stern.
Heavy-duty Hypalon tubes on reinforced fiberglass hulls, made to last for years of 24/7 use.
Soft, dry and stable ride, self-bailing decks and diamond non-skid surfaces as standard.
